THE ARCHIVAL SYSTEM OF THE INSTITUTE
FOR LITERARY STUDIES WAS DESIGNED AND DEVELOPED BY PROFESSOR TIBOR KLANICZAY
IN THE MID-1980s. PROFESSOR KLANICZAY LAID THE FOUNDATION FOR THE ARCHIVE;
AFTER THE YEAR 2000 WE REFORMED THE STRUCTURE OF THE MATERIAL AND WE
HAVE CONTINUED TO COLLECT DOCUMENTS ABOUT THE HISTORY OF HUNGARIAN LITERATURE
STUDIES. THE GREATEST AND MOST VALUABLE PART OF THE NEWLY DISCOVERED
DOCUMENTS CONCERNS THE YEARS BETWEEN 1945 AND 2000. THE ARCHIVE CONTAINS
A COLLECTION OF DOCUMENTS: THE LEGACY OF HISTORIANS OF LITERATURE, DOCUMENTS
ABOUT THE HISTORY OF HUNGARIAN LITERATURE, AND COLLECTIONS OF PHOTOS
OR AUDIO.
