THE ARCHIVAL SYSTEM OF THE INSTITUTE FOR LITERARY STUDIES WAS DESIGNED
AND DEVELOPED BY PROFESSOR TIBOR KLANICZAY IN THE MID-1980s. PROFESSOR
KLANICZAY LAID THE FOUNDATION FOR THE ARCHIVE; AFTER THE YEAR 2000 WE
REFORMED THE STRUCTURE OF THE MATERIAL AND WE HAVE CONTINUED TO COLLECT
DOCUMENTS ABOUT THE HISTORY OF HUNGARIAN LITERATURE STUDIES. THE GREATEST
AND MOST VALUABLE PART OF THE NEWLY DISCOVERED DOCUMENTS CONCERNS THE
YEARS BETWEEN 1945 AND 2000. THE ARCHIVE CONTAINS A COLLECTION OF DOCUMENTS:
THE LEGACY OF HISTORIANS OF LITERATURE, DOCUMENTS ABOUT THE HISTORY
OF HUNGARIAN LITERATURE, AND COLLECTIONS OF PHOTOS OR AUDIO.
